Faculty of Commerce and Management offers PhD in commerce and PhD in management as per UGC guidelines. A PhD is an intensive study and research based highest degree awarded program by the FoCM. It is a distinctive guidance and training given on research. Generally, scholars who intend to build an academic career as professors and researchers opt for a PhD in Commerce or Management.

Doctorates are given, a lot of preference in business schools for the positions of professors and educators. This degree can be highly beneficial even in the corporate world. FoCM enables the students to hold extensive research under the guidance of expert mentors, who help the researchers in gaining invaluable insights in their area of study.

Eligibility:

  • Master's Degree : Candidates must have a Master's degree in Management (M.B. A.) or an allied discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7- point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
  • Relaxation : A relaxation of 5% of marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories as per the decision of the UGC from time to time.
